During his clinical training, particularly at Boston Medical Center, Philip worked in conjunction with allopathic physicians to provide both Eastern and Western methods of healing patients. This experience helped lay the foundation for his integrative medical approach.

Philip also has a background in pain management, having previously been a Licensed Muscular Therapist, enjoying a successful private practice in Boston for over eight years. In addition, he has always been an active athlete which has provided expertise in injury recovery and pain management. Prior to his Master’s degree at NESA, Philip attended Tufts University where he received his BA in Psychology and was also the starting point guard for the basketball team. During this time, he sustained a number of physical injuries, successfully treating them with both Eastern and Western modalities.

In treating his patients, Philip pulls from all of these experiences to provide a truly holistic and integrative style. He emphasizes a results-oriented approach and encourages his patients to take an active role in their health care. He regards each patient as a unique individual, using a wide range of diagnostic tools and treatment options to optimize results. These may include acupuncture, Chinese herbs, laboratory testing, Gua Sha (the scraping of the body using jade stones), moxibustion, cupping, Tui Na (an Asian form of massage), electro-acupuncture, as well as orthopedic testing, blood pressure monitoring, dietary and lifestyle modifications.

Philip opened North End Acupuncture in 2014 to provide an affordable and effective healthcare option to a neighborhood in need of alternative medicine choices. Since then, the clinic has grown to become an integral healthcare provider for acupuncture in Boston and the local community.
